How to calibrate the platters on the DJControl Inpulse T7

KB 1873 - EN - 2025-12-25

Product: DJControl Inpulse T7

What is auto-calibration?

The platters of the DJControl Inpulse T7 are factory-calibrated to rotate at the correct speed under all conditions.

However, if you notice uneven speeds between the two platters (commonly referred to as drift), you can manually restart a calibration process using the procedure below.

Calibration is also recommended if you have customized your slipmats or vinyl records, or if you have added backspin washers.

Follow these steps to perform auto-calibration successfully:

1. Turn off the controller

Unplug the DJControl Inpulse T7 and make sure the POWER button is in the OFF position (not pressed).

2. Check the slipmats and vinyl records

Install the slipmats and vinyl records correctly. Make sure that nothing is obstructing the rotation of the platters.

3. Stabilize the controller

Place the DJControl Inpulse T7 on a flat, stable surface (table or desk), with all four feet fully deployed.

4. Connect the power supply and USB cable

Connect the controller to the power supply and a wall outlet. Plug the USB cable into a powered-on computer without launching any DJ software.

5. Enter calibration mode

On Deck 2, press and hold ASSIST/PREP and BACK.

While holding both buttons, press POWER to turn on the controller.

Release the buttons.

6. Wait for the platters to rotate

The platters will start rotating automatically. Do not touch anything until they stop. Calibration is complete once the pads display the result:

- Green pads (Hotcues 1–4 on each deck): calibration successful. Restart the controller normally.

- Red pads: calibration failed. Check the mechanical setup and repeat the procedure.
